UPOU Mail is a service that gives the power of Gmail to a subset of users in our community. We're currently in the process of distributing accounts bit by bit, but we'll get to everyone soon.

Users who have accounts can sign in at http://mail.upou.edu.ph.

All users have their username appended with the @upou.edu.ph domain so email can easily be identified as sent from the same domain. In addition, the user's real name forms the login username, so people can be identified easily.

The username is made up of the user's first and last name, separated by a period.

Students: learner_first-name.last-name
Employees: first-name.last-name

Some users may have two names or long names, so an alias can be created for them. For example, a student by the name of Brian Matthew Charles A. Montogomery will create learner_brianmatthewcharles.montgomery, which is very difficult to remember. A user may inform the MIS Office to just add an alias, to make it learner_brian.montgomery. Or, if possible, a user can just use one given name.
